reflection writing SPP

According to my writing skills at the moment, I've noticed a great improvement since I came to SPP writing. My vocabulary enlarged and I am more comfortable to use linking words. Therefore I have the ability to write about my feelings and emotions. Furthermore, I learned to write different kinds of essays, for instance a compare and contrast essay and a persuasive essay.

In my opinion writing is a very important part of a language, Despite of writing love letters to your boyfriend, you also need the ability to write a formal letter. Before I came to SPP, I was only comfortable to write something according to my own feelings, now I'm able to write a request and demand letter.

I am very thankful for all those improvements, We learned those skills in a original way. That's why I learned so much this 6 months. Besides of studying whole the time, we did a lot of things. Such as posting essays on a beautiful blog, writing about interesting topics. I strongly believe people can memorize much better doing things instead of just studying and learning by heart.

My mother and I

When I think about our bond, then I have to notice that it is very strong. She is like a best friend to me, we can say everything to each other, she is always there with advice or help when I need it. I really look up for her and I hope I will become such a great mother as her. In this essay I will talk about the similarities and differences in our personality.

When I talk about the similarities between my mother and I, it is notable that I have her warm personality. We both like to give people advice and help. We are interested in people’s behavior and like to analyze other’s people personality. I strongly believe that this is the reason why I am so excited to study psychology at the university. To my mind, we have both a strong EQ and we can be proud of it!

On the other hand, my mother and I have also differences such as we have a total different opinion about taking risks in life; I mean, she is more cautious in life while I am more impulsive and do things without thinking. She always has to consider the things twice before moving on. Secondly, she cares more about the details. For example, if we have to do something for school I would definitely be finished earlier then her, because I see more the big lines instead of take every detail into account.

To conclude this essay, it is notable that my mother and I are not exactly the same but this is good because now we can complete each other in different ways. I am so glad to have a few personality traces from her, she is such a great person. To put it in a nutshell, I wouldn’t change my mother for any money in the world. I believe that people become what they are through the persons around them, I would have never become the way I am now without her.

High heels or flat shoes?

It is a fact that fashion has become very important for young people. They want to be accepted by others; girls and women are looking for success and attention from boys. Shoes make a big part of this whole idea of fashion. But, what if we just want to wear shoes for the comfort of it? Are there any advantages in wearing flat shoes? Are you not fashionable anymore if you wear them? In this essay I will compare these two different types of shoes in order to make you aware and convince you to change more often between flat and high heel shoes.

When we talk about flat and high heel shoes, we’re all convinced that they both can be very beautiful, they are both telling something more about women’s personality, and they also make our outfit unique. I strongly believe that wearing the same clothes is easier than wearing the same shoes, I mean, they are more specific. Shoes are like women’s children, unique and so important. It’s a fact that they both protect our feet, so it’s important to care of them. They are part of our daily life, from going to school to going for a party or climbing a mountain.

Now I would like to tell you something more about the differences between these two types of shoes. I agree that high heel shoes give women confidence. They can make them taller, sexier, more attractive… But there are also disadvantages when wearing them. For instance, they are not always comfortable. Everybody knows the feeling to walk hours on heels and be happy to take them off as soon as possible. Some problems can be caused by wearing heels, for example, back and feet problems. Flat shoes are sometimes less sexy and less attractive, but they are comfortable. You can dance on them without hurting your feet, and in case you have a short boyfriend they are very useful!

Taking everything into account, it comes down to a personal choice to wear high heels or flat shoes. We all know that shoes are no longer just simply worn to protect or feet, they are a passion, one’s personal statement, a sexual independence. In my opinion we have to change often between these two kinds of shoes. Keep your high heels for something special and enjoy the comfort of flat shoes during work, sports, shopping days…

Differences between Mcdonalds and Burger King

It's a fact that nowadays people go more and more to fast food restaurants. I strongly believe that at this moment everything has to be fast. For instance transportation, communication, etc. In my opinion this is the same with fast food. Some people find cooking a waste of time. Others don't even have the time to cook due to stress. What do you think about fast food? In this essay I would like to contrast and compare between two famous fast food restaurants, McDonalds and Burger King. I will present you some facts about quality of food, service and cost among others.

The first major similarity between McDonalds and Burger King is they focus on the same fast food meals and have almost the same menu. For instance, the McDonalds Big Mac is similar as the Whopper of Burger King. In both restaurants you can consider to take food away or to enjoy your meal inside of the restaurants. Both give you the opportunity to celebrate your birthday eating their food with some friends.

When we talk about the differences between McDonald's and Burger King, the most notable one is that you're able to find much more McDonalds outlets than Burger King all around the world. It's a fact that McDonalds has a better service, for example their home delivery and a playground for children. Also, a remarkable difference between these two restaurants is the price. They're both cheaper than common conventional restaurants. However, McDonalds' menus are cheaper than Burger King's.

All things considered, it's notable that McDonalds has more advantages than Burger King.

We have mentioned the service they both offer to their customers, the cost of their menus, and the overall reputation all around the world. So, in our modest opinion, although it is up to a personal choice to go to one or the other, we recommend you to go to McDonalds. But, of course, don't eat so much junk food as it is not so healthy.
